Newswise — As tensions mount in Ukraine, political scientists and others are considering the impacts of actions taking place in that country. Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) Ambassador Todd Becker, who served as an OSCE observer during Ukraine’s 2012 parliamentary election, is among those contemplating what Russian involvement could mean not only in the Crimean Peninsula, but around the globe.

Becker, now a faculty member in Salisbury University’s Conflict Analysis and Dispute Resolution, Political Science and Sociology departments, spent 34 years with the U.S. State Department, working in countries including Ukraine, Germany, Greece, Croatia and Lithuania. He is available to speak with reporters about the Ukrainian situation.

Due to Becker’s schedule, reporters are asked to make interview requests in advance. To schedule an interview call the SU Public Relations Office at 410-543-6030 or e-mail [email protected].
