Newswise — Holmdel, N.J. – August 15, 2016 - Riverview Medical Center and Bayshore Community Hospital, members of the Hackensack Meridian Health family, are pleased to welcome Parini M. Patel, M.D., an endocrinologist, to the medical staff. She joins the team of Jennifer Zaitz, M.D. at Meridian Medical Group – Specialty Practice. Dr. Patel has extensive experience in the field and will be a vital part of the medical team at both hospitals.
Dr. Patel graduated medical school in 1999 from Gujarat University, India. She completed her Internal Medicine residency in 2003 from New York Medical College, Queens, NY. In 2004, she joined the Division of Endocrinology at Beth Israel Medical Center, NY as a research fellow, where she studied the effects of vitamin D on diabetes. She completed her clinical fellowship in Endocrinology and Metabolism at Beth Israel Medical Center, NY in 2008.
Following her training, Dr. Patel was an endocrinologist in a busy private practice affiliated with Saint Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, NJ. She specializes in the care of patients with diabetes, thyroid problems, obesity, osteoporosis, polycystic ovarian disease, adrenal disorders, and pituitary disorders.
She is a current member of both the Endocrine Society and the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE) and is fluent in Gujarati and Hindi.
Dr. Patel will have privileges at Bayshore and Riverview. She will be seeing patients at 100 Commons Way, Holmdel, NJ and can be reached at 732-450-2925.
