Reynold Panettieri, professor at the Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, is available to discuss the newest coronavirus variant, Omicron, now identified in multiple countries across the world.

“The Omicron variant certainly raises concerns. However, the consequence of the variant on morbidity and mortality remains unclear,” said Panettieri, who is also the vice chancellor for Translational Medicine and Science Director at the Rutgers Institute for Translational Medicine. “The bottom line, all should get vaccinated as soon as possible as more data becomes available.”
