He is also an independent neurologist for the Baltimore Ravens, the Baltimore Orioles and Major League Soccer’s DC United team.

Additionally, Dr. Crutchfield has expertise in treating children with concussions, especially those who are hurt playing sports.

A vascular neurologist with expertise in cranial blood flow and transcranial-Doppler sonology, Dr. Crutchfield is board certified in psychiatry and neurology. He completed a residency in neurology at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. He was a senior staff fellow in metabolic neurology at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland, and trained in transcranial-Doppler sonology at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Besides all of this, he speaks in plain English, not in medical terms.
