Charles Yeo, MD is one of the nation's leading experts on pancreatic cancer and a surgeon who has performed over 1,000 "Whipple" procedures to treat cancerous tumors of the pancreas (technically, a pancreaticoduodenectomy). He can discuss pancreatic cancer treatment and research but was not involved in the care of Bonnie Franklin, the actress who died March 1, 2013 of the disease.
Dr. Yeo is Chair of the Department of Surgery at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA.
