University of Colorado Health Sciences Center to Graduate 571

On May 29, 571 students in University of Colorado Health Sciences Center schools and programs will graduate during commencement exercises, which begin at 8:30 a.m. in the Bookstore Quadrangle on campus.

There will be 55 dental and dental hygiene students graduating from the CU School of Dentistry; 126, CU School of Medicine; 80, CU School of Nursing; 175, CU School of Pharmacy; and 135, Graduate School.

Individual school convocations will be held May 28 and May 29. The CU School of Nursing will hold its convocation May 28 at 5 p.m. at First Church of the Nazarene, 3800 E. Hampden Ave., Denver. On May 29, the other four schools -- medicine, dentistry, pharmacy and graduate -- will hold their convocations at 10 a.m. at various locations on the CU-Health Sciences Center campus.

The University of Colorado Health Sciences Center is one of four campuses in the University of Colorado system. Located in Denver, Colo., the campus includes schools of medicine, nursing, pharmacy and dentistry; a graduate school; and two hospitals.

School of Dentistry Convocation Speaker: Lawrence Meskin, DDS, PhD, director of continuing dental education at CU-Health Sciences Center.

School of Pharmacy Convocation Speakers: Robert Page, PharmD, President's Excellence in Teaching Award recipient; Douglas Fish, PharmD, Chancellor's Excellence in Teaching Award recipient; and students Suzanne Hampton, PharmD graduate, and Rachel Holt, BS graduate.

CU-Health Sciences Center Commencement speakers: CU-Health Sciences Center Chancellor James Shore, CU President John Buechner, and one or more CU Regents.
