Newswise — The University of Redlands will proudly graduate 1,462 undergraduate and graduate students at its 110th Commencement ceremonies, April 25 to 27 at the Alumni Greek Theatre on the Redlands, California campus.
The following ceremonies are scheduled:
- School of Education Commencement — 4:30 p.m. Thursday, April 25
- Ceremony will be streamed live at http://www.redlands.edu/SEstream
- 379 graduates
- Keynote speaker: Kevin Kumashiro — an internationally recognized expert on educational policy, school reform, teacher preparation, and educational equity and social justice
- Student speaker: Yolanda Stephanie DeLoera ’14, ’19 is a first-generation scholar with a doctoral degree in leadership for educational justice who plans to continue her research, pedagogy, and advocacy
- College of Arts & Sciences Commencement — 4:30 p.m. Friday, April 26
- Ceremony will be streamed live at http://www.redlands.edu/CASstream
- 487 graduates
- Honorary Doctor of Humane Letters: Santos Manuel (posthumously), founding leader of the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians
- Keynote speaker: Raymond Obstfeld — an American novelist, screenwriter and non-fiction writer who teaches creative writing at Orange Coast College
- Student speaker: Brenna Hope Phillips ’19 is a second-generation Bulldog graduating with a BA in history and a BA in public policy with a minor in political science who plans to attend law school
- Johnston Center for Integrative Studies — 1:30 p.m. Saturday, April 27
- Though students in the Johnston program walk in the College of Arts and Sciences ceremony, they also participate in a personalized event for the 40 graduates of the program, held on Bekins Lawn
- School of Business Commencement—4:30 p.m. Saturday, April 27

- 596 graduates
- Keynote speaker: Paul Zak — an American neuroeconomist, who is known as a proponent of the field for his work which applies neuroscience to build high-performance organizations and to understand and guide consumer decisions
- Student speaker: Danny Gaviria ’19, MBA was born in Colombia and has always had his eye toward his future: building his résumé, improving his education, and making sure his parents' sacrifices were not in vain. Gaviria’s future plan is to pursue a doctoral degree
- School of Education Commencement — 4:30 p.m. Thursday, April 25
