Newswise — BETHESDA, Md., Jan. 30, 2014 – Six scientific societies will hold their joint scientific sessions and annual meetings, known as Experimental Biology (EB), from April 26-30, 2014, in San Diego. This meeting, EB 2014, brings together the leading researchers from dozens of life-science disciplines. The societies represented at the meeting will be: the American Association of Anatomists (AAA), the American Physiological Society (APS), the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (ASBMB), the American Society for Investigative Pathology (ASIP), the American Society for Nutrition (ASN) and the American Society for Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics (ASPET).

Pre-registration for press passes is strongly encouraged and will be accepted through April 23. Transforming the Future of ScienceWith a theme of “Transforming the Future of Science,” EB 2014 will highlight topics related to science, health and medicine. Each day of EB 2014 will address a diverse group of topics, including energy drinks and their research gaps, acetaminophen overdoses, integrated medical curriculum and interprofessional education, building a sustainable research enterprise, developing public-private partnerships and storytelling for today’s scientists.
Thousands of Scientists, Symposia and LecturesIn past years, Experimental Biology has attracted more than 14,000 attendees, the vast majority of whom were scientists. The meeting provides a forum for leaders in the scientific community and undergraduate and graduate students alike to showcase their work.
