Newswise — The University of Virginia Darden School of Business announces a new Massive Open Online Course (MOOC), called “Fundamentals of Project Planning and Management.” The course complements the School’s portfolio of free online courses available on the Coursera platform.

The new MOOC, taught by Darden Professor Yael Grushka-Cockayne, will take place 20 April – 31 May 2015. Registration is now open and available to anyone in the world with an Internet connection. Students who complete the requirements for the four-week course will be eligible for a Statement of Accomplishment. Students can also earn a Verified Certificate from Coursera and the University of Virginia Darden School Foundation.

“Fundamentals of Project Planning and Management is an introductory course on the key concepts of planning and executing projects,” said Grushka-Cockayne, who teaches at Darden in the area of quantitative analysis. “Students will identify factors that lead to project success, and learn how to plan, analyze and manage projects.”

Three of Darden’s previous MOOCs are now available on Coursera’s new on-demand platform, which means that users can take a course at their pace and convenience. The Darden courses available on-demand include:
