Newswise — Washington, DC- ScholarBridge (www.ScholarBridge.com) will be one of the key sponsors at the upcoming Council of Undergraduate Research Undergraduate Research Program Directors Conference (CUR URPD) in Norman, Oklahoma from June 21-23, 2015. Co-founders Michael Rauch and Jake Gordon will be attending the conference, and will be available throughout to meet with attendees.

ScholarBridge is an established resource for undergraduate research program directors that facilitates the process of matching student researchers with mentors. The simple, yet powerful tool allows interested students to search and filter through a database of mentors and research opportunities across all disciplines on their campus as well as nationwide. Faculty are easily able to manage research profiles with capabilities to post research opportunities detailing necessary qualifications for different roles.

ScholarBridge is already quite active on seven major research campuses across the United States ranging in size and location from its launching institution, Washington University in St. Louis, to Flagler College, to the University of Kentucky. With the help of a number of research administrators, ScholarBridge has recently designed an administrative hub for premium partners to oversee site use, and importantly, capture key metrics for assessment. The URPD Conference focus on assessment, effectiveness and efficiency align extremely well with the user-friendly functionality and offerings of ScholarBridge. At the conference, ScholarBridge aims to grow its university network to serve a much larger audience. As CUR Executive Officer Elizabeth Ambos states “ScholarBridge offers a special and much-needed service for the undergraduate research community. The fact that the leaders of ScholarBridge are passionate about their product, and have extensive knowledge of the undergraduate researcher experience is very important to their success.”

Diane Snow, Director of Undergraduate Research at the University of Kentucky has been a ScholarBridge partner for nearly one year. She has found that “ScholarBridge administrative features are unique and powerful, allowing for meaningful participation. In very little time, we were up and running, and would encourage other institutions to join us in the ScholarBridge network.”
