Public Health Keynote Speaker, Nov. 4: Loel Solomon, PhD, MPP, is Vice President of Community Health for Kaiser Permanente’s Community Benefit Program. In this position, Dr. Solomon works with health plan and medical group leaders to establish the strategic direction for Kaiser Permanente’s multi-faceted approach to prevention and community health and develops national partnerships to advance those ends.

Basic Science Keynote Speaker, Nov. 6: Jan Nedergaard, PhD, is a Professor of the Department of Molecular Biosciences at the Wenner-Gren Institute at Stockholm University and pioneer in brown adipose tissue research. His research conducted over 40 years focuses on how brown adipose tissue affects regulation of energy expenditure and thermogenesis.
