Newswise — WASHINGTON – On March 15, Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Under Secretary for Science and Technology, Dr. Reginald Brothers, will host a panel discussion entitled “Be the Next Tony Stark,” at the South by Southwest (SXSW) Interactive Festival in Austin, Texas. The panel will focus on how imagination inspires innovation in the real world and the government’s role in developing the art of possible ideas into reality.

The SXSW Interactive Festival is an annual gathering of thousands of the brightest minds in technology, music, and film for five days of compelling panel sessions led by the leading trendsetters in their respected fields. The DHS Science and Technology Directorate seeks to stimulate commercial innovation and industry partnerships to help solve the nation’s homeland security challenges. Under Secretary Brothers will be joined by members of the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), RL Leaders, Consumer Technology Association, and Bytecubed.
