Newswise — Several Georgia State University graduate programs rank among the best in the country in U.S. News & World Report magazine’s 2017 edition of America’s Best Graduate Schools.
The part-time Master of Business Administration (MBA) program in the J. Mack Robinson College of Business advanced 17 spots over last year’s rankings to 27th in the nation. It ranked 17th among public university programs, up 11 spots.
“The Robinson College’s dramatic rise in the U.S. News rankings reflects our steadfast commitment to the MBA for working professionals and the enhancements we have made to the program over the past several years,” said Dean Richard Phillips. “It is also concurrent with the dramatic rise in the research reputation of the college. It is gratifying to see these results being recognized.”
The College of Education and Human Development climbed 12 spots to 59th in the nation.
The College of Law ranked 57th of 196 schools, down one spot from last year.
“This is the first consecutive year the College of Law has been ranked in the 50s, which speaks volumes about the quality of our law program,” said Steven J. Kaminshine, dean and professor of law. “We continue to focus on our strengths of educating lawyers grounded in theory and practice while remaining affordable and accessible.” Georgia State Law’s highly regarded Center for Law, Health & Society was ranked No. 6. This is the 10th consecutive year it has been named one of the top 10 health law programs by U.S. News, having been No. 3 in 2015. The college’s part-time program remains No. 14 in the nation. Its clinical education program is the only one in Georgia to make the list, ranking No. 30.
