Newswise — ATLANTA–Eric Wright, professor of sociology and public health at Georgia State University, will join representatives from Emory University, Morehouse School of Medicine, Youth Spark and Street Grace in a press conference at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, May 3, to announce the results of the 2015 Atlanta Homeless Youth Count.
The event will be held at the Georgia State Speakers’ Auditorium in Student Center East, 101 Piedmont Ave. SE, at the intersection of Courtland and Gilmer streets.
The Atlanta Homeless Youth Count is a comprehensive count and assessment of the number of homeless youth in the city. From June to July 2015, 50 Georgia State and Emory students led the count in Atlanta and neighboring suburbs inside the Interstate 285 perimeter.
