Since the event launched in 2011, Scotiabank Road Hockey to Conquer Cancer has raised more than $13 million dollars across Canada for cancer research at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, one of the world’s top five cancer research centres.

Scotiabank Road Hockey to Conquer Cancer is a one-day road hockey event where participating teams play five games through the course of the day. This year, it takes place on Saturday, October 1 at Woodbine Racetrack in Etobicoke. More than 1,500 people are expected to participate. This year will mark the launch of the Scotiabank Kids Conquer Cancer program which will feature interactive games, a kids vs. mascot game, celebrity meet and greets, and skills challenges for kids in attendance on game day. Last year, the event set two World Records and is now the largest road hockey fundraising event in the world. To date, more than 8,500 participants have taken part.
