As a nongovernmental, nonpartisan, and nonprofit organization, the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) promotes a balanced perspective of international relations and America’s role in the world. To that end, we invite you to apply to participate in a free workshop for journalists at CFR’s New York headquarters from Thursday, January 17 to Friday, January 18, 2019.

The goal of the workshop is to draw the connection between local issues in your community and international events. The workshop will feature expert briefings on issues of local concern, networking opportunities with your colleagues from across the country, and discussion groups on how we can support the important work you are doing at a time of significant upheaval within the news industry.

The workshop is free, and we will cover roundtrip travel to New York and one night in a hotel for selected applicants. To apply, please send an email to [email protected] with the following information:
