Newswise — New York University will host “Representing Animals,” an event celebrating the multidisciplinary nature of the field of Animal Studies, on Fri., Feb. 15, 9:30 a.m.-5 p.m., at NYU’s Silver Center, 100 Washington Square East, Hemmerdinger Hall.
“Representing Animals” will include panels on Representing Animals in the Humanities, Representing Animal Minds, and Representing Animals in Advocacy and Politics as well as a keynote address by Wesleyan University Professor Lori Gruen, moderated by Dale Jamieson, a professor of philosophy and environmental studies (3:45 p.m.).
