Newswise — WASHINGTON, D.C. March 20, 2019 -- Tomorrow is the last day to register for hotels at the discounted conference rate for the 2019 American Physical Society (APS) April Meeting in Denver, which explores research from “Quarks to Cosmos.” It runs from Saturday, April 13 through Tuesday, April 16 at the Sheraton Denver Downtown Hotel.

At the meeting, the latest breaking research in particle and astrophysics will be presented -- from long views of massive, ancient objects in the universe to short-lived, subatomic interactions. The meeting will also feature thoughtful presentations by experts in education, policy, the history of physics, and many other areas.

This press release includes a preliminary list of interesting sessions and talks to be presented at the meeting. The full list of meeting abstracts is available at http://meetings.aps.org/Meeting/APR19/APS_epitome

Embargoed press releases will follow in the coming weeks and will explore the latest breaking science news from the meeting in much more detail. Press conferences during the meeting will be live-streamed online. If you are not on the APS media distribution list, please email <[email protected]>.

Free on-site press registration to the APS April Meeting is offered to any bona fide journalist, staff or freelance, and to any institutional PIO or press officer who wishes to attend the meeting. Advanced registration is requested.
