Newswise — The Splash Away Cancer! event will take place Saturday, May 18. The swimming fundraiser supports cancer research and patient care programs at The University of New Mexico Comprehensive Cancer Center. The event is sponsored by the Lobo Aquatic Club, UNM Recreational Services, New Mexico Masters Swimming, Genesis Signs, Red Rock Roasters, Forms Plus and KOB-FM.

Splash Away Cancer! celebrates all those whose lives have been touched by cancer and honors those who have been lost to it. All donations benefit the UNM Comprehensive Cancer Center.

Organizers invite swimmers of all ages and abilities. Swimmers may choose to swim 500 yards, one mile, or their own Dedication Distance, and will be required to sign a waiver to participate. Those wishing to remain dry may donate online at SplashAwayCancer.org.

 


 

The ‘Splash Away Cancer!’ swimming fundraiser takes place Saturday, May 18, at the Armond H. Seidler Natatorium, Johnson Center at the University of New Mexico, 1 University Boulevard, Northeast, Albuquerque, New Mexico. Registration opens at 7 am and the event starts at 8 am.
