Newswise — The 39th annual Babson College Entrepreneurship Research Conference (BCERC) takes place at the Babson College Wellesley MA campus June 5-8, 2019.

The 2019 BCERC is sponsored by Babson College with additional sponsors: William Johnston, Babson College, the Endowed Chairs of the Blank Center and BD Morgan. The Doctoral Consortium is sponsored by the Ewing Marion Kaufman foundation and the Society for Advancement of Management Studies (SAMS).

BCERC, widely considered the premier conference for entrepreneurial research, was established in 1981 to provide a dynamic venue where academics and real-world practitioners link theory and practice, and to encourage and increase quality research in entrepreneurship.

The 2019 BCERC Call for Papers received 561 abstracts from authors representing 42 countries. Of these, 303 researchers are attending the conference from 29 countries to present their work.

In addition to the conference, and hosted in conjunction with BCERC since 1985, Babson will hold the 2019 BCERC Doctoral Consortium Program, co-sponsored by the The Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, and the SAMS. The Doctoral Consortium provides doctoral students with the opportunity to gain insight into current research issues through intense interaction with consortium faculty, and seeks to encourage scholars and educators to become leaders in the field of entrepreneurship research. Twenty-five doctoral students were accepted to The Consortium from 106 applications from 20 countries.
