US Treasury Secretary The University of Delaware’s Arwen Mohun, who studies the social and cultural history of technology, was on the original panel of experts that advised then Treasury Secretary Jack Lew on plans to redesign the nation's currency. In 2015, the group of 16 scholars offered their insights around plans to put a woman on the $10 bill by 2020. Eventually, the decision was made to put Harriet Tubman on the $20, but that was delayed this week when current Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin announced there would be no redesign until after President Trump left office.
