UNLV political scientist John Tuman is available to offer expert commentary on President Donald Trump's proposed tariffs on Mexico, and how this will impact the automobile industry across North America.

Tuman is an expert on Latin America, with a focus on Mexico, the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), and the Mexican and North American automobile industries.

Last week, he published a study, "Foreign direct investment flows to Mexican states: A study of the automobile industry," which provides historical data from the last two decades.

Media interested in speaking with Professor Tuman or reading the study should contact Keyonna Summers, UNLV Media Relations Specialist, at [email protected] or (702) 895-0898.
