Seasun Biomaterials launched prenatal screening kit for Down, Edward, Patau syndrome utilizing real time PCR. This test is based on PatioTM technology, which detects chromosomal abnormality of fetal DNA that exists in maternal amniotic fluid with high sensitivity and accuracy. It acquired IVD class 3 certification from Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) in December, 2018. It needs 3 hours to conduct the test, and 23 samples can be analyzed simultaneously. Seasun Biomaterials also launched non-invasive prenatal screening service using circulating cell-free fetal DNA in maternal plasma.
