Newswise — HOUSTON -- The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center will honor business entrepreneur and philanthropist Jim Crane, owner and chairman of the Houston Astros, at A Conversation With a Living Legend®, 7 p.m. Dec. 11 at the Hilton Americas. The program, to be held in the hotel’s Lanier Ballroom, includes an onstage interview with Crane led by NBC Sports’ Jimmy Roberts.
Co-chairs Maureen and Jim Hackett are leading this year’s fundraising effort, with contributions totaling almost $1.8 million. Proceeds will support vital cancer research initiatives at MD Anderson.
