The Wuhan coronavirus has been tracked to eating wild animals.

Global veterinarian, Dr. Christian Walzer, based in New York at the Wildlife Conservation Society Center for Global Conservation, is available to do interviews.

He has been calling for the closure of markets that sell wild animals for food in China and across the globe.

The world has been here before with SARS 17 years ago, and we know how to take a big step to stop these zoonotic diseases from jumping from animal to humans.

Dr. Walzer has an op-ed in today’s Wall Street Journal on the link between wildlife markets and coronavirus: https://www.wsj.com/articles/abolish-asias-wet-markets-where-pandemics-breed-11580168707

He has also been in this news cycle with his position in the NY TimesWashington PostAPReutersAFP, among others.
