Newswise — MAYWOOD, IL—The American Organization for Nursing Leadership (AONL) has awarded Jennifer M. Grenier, DNP, CNML, CENP, assistant chief nursing officer at Loyola Medicine's MacNeal Hospital in Berwyn, IL, with the Pamela Austin Thompson Early Careerist Award.
The award is given annually to an AONL or AONL Foundation program alumnus “who exhibits significant potential as a future health care leader and demonstrates exemplary leadership within his or her organization, community, and the nursing profession,” according to the AONL news release.
“Jennifer Grenier is an exceptional nurse who has accomplished a great deal in her decade as a health care leader in an academic setting,” says Kathleen Mikos, DNP, RN, NEA-BC, MacNeal Hospital chief nursing officer. “We are thrilled to have Jennifer on our staff, and we congratulate her on receiving this prestigious award.”
Grenier received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Milliken University and her Master of Science in Nursing from Lewis University. Jennifer received her Doctorate of Nursing Practice in system leadership from Rush University. She the past president of the Illinois Organization of Nurse Leaders.
Grenier and other award recipients will be honored during the AONL annual meeting, March 19-21, in Nashville, Tennessee.
