COVID-19 is quickly becoming the leading cause of death in the United States. But only about one in three Americans has completed any type of advance directive that articulates, in writing, their end-of-life wishes regarding health care decisions.

Seema Mohapatra, an associate professor of law at Indiana University, is available to discuss the importance of people providing information about their end-of-life wishes, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as the importance of making sure those wishes are legally binding.

Mohapatra is an expert in the areas of health care law, public health law, bioethics, torts and family law.
