Newswise — CHICAGO, November 11, 2020 - The National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) is the nation’s only credentialing body for the initial, continued, and subspecialty certification of the more than 55,000 Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) in the U.S., its territories, and protectorates. As a recognized leader in advanced practice nursing credentialing, our primary responsibility is to guard the well-being of the public by seeking to ensure that those who secure the CRNA credential meet the necessary requirements to practice safely and effectively. We accomplish our mission through the development and implementation of credentialing programs that support lifelong learning for nurse anesthesia providers.

NBCRNA has established a Search Committee that will lead the process of identifying the most qualified candidate to serve as the organization’s next Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The Search Committee has selected Sterling Martin Associates to support the CEO selection and transition process.

The CEO provides visionary leadership and oversight for the development and implementation of NBCRNA’s programs and initiatives to achieve the organization’s vision, mission, and strategic objectives. The ideal candidate will be a CRNA with a proven track record as an executive leader. The individual should have knowledge of and experience with the intricacies of certification, programmatic accreditation, advanced practice nursing, and health care regulation.

Nurse Anesthetists are encouraged to share this search information with qualified CRNAs who can passionately carry on the mission and vision of the NBCRNA credentialing programs.

Information about the application process and criteria for the CEO role was posted on the NBCRNA website (NBCRNA.com/Careers) on November 9, 2020.
