Newark is the latest American city dealing with a water crisis and what to do about it. Raphael Rodrigues, a lecturer in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, is an expert in the area of water treatment technologies.

Rodrigues has spent his research career focused on ways to purify water, specifically wastewater, for reuse.
