Newswise — The Lippincott® Nursing Education Speaker Series explores the issues nurse educators are facing today including the future of nursing education, integration of adaptive learning technology, assessment changes and preparing students for practice in a post-COVID-19 environment. The series is co-sponsored by the National League for Nursing.

Wolters Kluwer, Health Learning, Research & Practice Chief Nurse Anne Dabrow Woods, DNP, RN, CRNP, ANP-BC, AGACNP-BC, FAAN, will lead a session on April 15 focused on the impact of COVID-19 to nursing practice and what that means for nurse educators as they prepare new nurse graduates for entering the workforce. The webinar, “COVID-19: Transforming Nursing Education and Practice for the New Paradigm of Care,” will also feature Pamela R. Jeffries, PhD, RN, FAAN, ANEF, FSSH, Professor of Nursing and Dean of George Washington University School of Nursing, and will highlight opportunities for new innovative digital teaching strategies and practice/academic partnerships to support student success and readiness for practice.

On April 19, Jason A. Schwartz, Director of Outreach at National Council of the State Boards of Nursing, will discuss the latest information on the Next Generation NCLEX and updates on test design during the webinar “Stay On The Front Line of Clinical Judgment and Next Generation NCLEX.” Schwartz will also share expert guidance for nurse educators on preparing students for taking the NCLEX and developing clinical judgement skills.
