Newswise — As the COVID-19 pandemic continues, businesses face critical decisions on how to safely return their employees to work. Reopening businesses and keeping them open depend on a variety of factors, but employers will need the support of occupational and environmental medicine (OEM) professionals if they are going to be able to protect their workforce.
To provide OEM professionals with the critical information and tools to continue the safe return to work (RTW) of employees, the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (ACOEM) will hold a 3-day virtual symposium, September 11-13, 2020, on Working Safely in the COVID-19 Era: Case Studies and Lessons Learned.
This unique symposium will address the challenges of working during the pandemic and the potential pitfalls to avoid. COVID-19-related topics will range from updates on testing, vaccine development, and pediatrician perspectives on school reopening to topics on ergonomic issues, workers' compensation, and the indoor environment. It will also provide updates on a variety of industry specific guidance. Time is also allotted for live Q&A to place emphasis on audience engagement.
