Professor Goldstein is available to comment on Vice President Biden’s campaign announcement. As a vice presidential scholar, Goldstein is inherently familiar with the historical significance of a run by a former VP and can speak to the significant impacts this will have on the campaign. In a recent post, Goldstein says “history teaches us that position [VP] often helps transform previously unsuccessful presidential candidates into presidential candidates and even presidents.”
