Newswise — Much is at stake in the Nov. 2 elections in Michigan. State voters will elect a new governor, settle other high-profile races and decide whether to convene a constitutional convention for possible revisions to the state constitution. David Haynes, professor of political science and public administration at Northern Michigan University, is available to serve as a media consultant before, during and after the statewide elections.
Haynes’ academic expertise covers state and local government, principles of public administration and administrative law. In addition to his NMU position, he is president of Haynes LLC, which offers public policy analysis for corporations and non-profit companies. He previously was a partner with the Grand Rapids-based Public Affairs Associates, providing public policy analysis, government relations and corporate communications services. Haynes received his Juris Doctor degree from the Thomas M. Cooley School of Law.
