Vermont leaders including Sen. Bernie Sanders (L) and Lt. Gov. David Zuckerman (R) are supporting a statewide goal of increasing the number of working-age Vermonters with a postsecondary degree or credential of value to address a growing income disparity gap and estimated 132,000 high paying jobs in Vermont that are expected to go unfilled in the next decade due to a lack of educated and trained residents to fill them.
