Suzanne Craft, Ph.D., professor of gerontology and geriatric medicine at Wake Forest University School of Medicine, will lead a team in a Phase II trial to study empagliflozin, a drug used to lower blood sugar levels, and an intranasal insulin spray as potential treatments for mild cognitive impairment and Alzheimer’s disease.
