Audio recordings of arguments in Clinton v. Jones before the U.S. Supreme Courts can now be heard on the Supreme Court Web site developed by Jerry Goldman, associate professor of political science at Northwestern University.

It was only a year ago that President Clinton appealed to the U.S. Supreme Court to postpone the lawsuit by Paula Jones, a lawsuit now embroiled in Kenneth Starr's expanded investigation of the President.

Clinton's appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court to delay the Jones trial was heard by the Supreme Court on Jan. 13, 1997. The court's unanimous decision to reject Clinton's request for a delay was handed down on May 27, 1997, enabling the Jones v. Clinton case to go forward in Arkansas this May.

The arguments in the Clinton v. Jones case are the newest addition to Goldman's popular and award-winning Web site -- Oyez Oyez Oyez. The site links text, images, sound and video to present a searchable database on the Supreme Court.

The site has a virtual reality tour of the court building's exterior, plaza and entrance. When complete, Goldman's database will contain hundreds of hours of oral arguments, video, summaries of more than 900 cases and biographies of all 108 justices.
