WHAT: To recognize the nearly 10 million cancer survivors in the U.S., free electronic greeting cards, featuring art from cancer survivors, are now available at http://www.Cancer.com and www.AmericanGreetings.com. This is a novel way to send messages of hope, inspiration and support throughout 2003.
The cards are part of The Art of Healing: Expressions of Cancer Survivors -- a national e-card program that features original artwork by cancer patients. The program is sponsored by Ortho Biotech Products, L.P., a company committed to providing innovative products, education and support services for the cancer community.
INTERVIEW OPPORTUNITY: Jo Ann Baker, mother, cancer survivor and artist whose work is featured on one of the greeting cards, is available to discuss the healing power of art. She also can discuss her personal experience with cancer and anemia, a debilitating and common side effect of chemotherapy.
