Currently living in Chicago, Harris has taught at Yale University, Portland College of Art, Boston University and Bowdoin College. She is a recipient of a National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship in Painting, a Guggenheim Fellowship and an Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation Grant. Harris is currently featured in the Decordova Museum's Painting in Boston: 1950-2000. She has had solo exhibitions in Boston's Nielsen Gallery, New York's DC Moore Gallery and Maine Coast Artists of Rockport, Maine.

Without Likeness: Paintings by Ann Harris will run January 24 -- March 23 in the Bowdoin College Museum of Art, Brunswick, Maine before traveling to the Montserrat College of Art Gallery, June 2 - July 11, 2003. A will be catalog available.

In early June, Harris will teach a master class at Montserrat; dates and times to be announced.
