Newswise — The inaugural Kentucky Autoimmune Walk will be held on Saturday, September 21st, at Seneca Park located at 3151 PeeWee Reese Road in Louisville. Registration will begin at 10 a.m. with the Walk beginning at 11 a.m. There will be a silent auction with amazing items.

This year, American Autoimmune Related Diseases Association (AARDA) is proud to partner with the Vasculitis Foundation, the Graves' Disease & Thyroid Foundation, and the National Adrenal Diseases Foundation for all of its 2013 walks.

“After a successful inaugural year of hosting Autoimmune Walks, we decided to keep the momentum going in 2013. The Walks have proven beneficial in communities, those large and small. Those that participate in the Walks come expecting just to walk but they leave with an understanding of not only autoimmune disease but the need for more advocacy and awareness. We are excited to travel to Kentucky to advocate on behalf of the 50 million Americans with autoimmune disease,” says Virginia T. Ladd, President and Executive Director of AARDA.

In preparation for the Kentucky Walk, Buffalo Wild Wings located at 1112 Veterans Pkwy in Clarksville, IN, is hosting a fundraising day for AARDA. When diners patronize the location on Monday, September 16th, the Monday before the Inaugural Kentucky Autoimmune Walk, they should mention “AARDA” or “Autoimmune Walk”. A percentage of the bill will be donated to AARDA.
