Newswise — Political opinion polls send a variety of mixed, contradictory and often confusing messages, but a University of Mississippi journalism professor is available to answer questions about how to report on polls.

Kathleen Wickham, author of "Math Tools for Journalists" (Marrion Street Press) also can comment on how journalists cover polls and how the information from polls can be written so that the public can understand the results. According to National Public Radio, Wickham provides "one of the clearest explanations of what is trustworthy and what is less trustworthy about polling."
