Newswise — Professor Larry Gibson, an election law expert at the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law, advised the historic campaign of Ellen Johnson Sirleaf of Liberia in 2005. Today, Sirleaf is one of three winners of the 2011 Nobel Peace Prize. Gibson is available to discuss the friends who died in the Liberian fighting, his wrenching decision to get involved in the Sirleaf campaign, and the surprisingly controversial strategy that divided the campaign staff.
