Newswise — The Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing is once again among the top 15 percent of colleges, universities, and trade schools doing the most to embrace America’s military service members, veterans, and spouses as students and ensure their success on campus. The 2014 list of Military Friendly Schools was assembled by Victory Media, which serves military personnel transitioning back into civilian life. The Hopkins School of Nursing is honored to have such students among its ranks, says Nancy Griffin, associate dean for Enrollment Management and Student Affairs.
“These are individuals with strong, positive values and a clear goal: to be the very best at whatever they do. They fit right in at the Hopkins School of Nursing,” Griffin says.
Now in its fifth year, the list of Military Friendly Schools is compiled through research and a data-driven survey of more than 12,000 Veterans Administration-approved schools nationwide. Victory Media thanked the institutions that made the list on behalf of “8 million military members and veterans seeking a school.”
The survey tabulation process, methodology, and weightings that comprise the 2014 list were independently verified by Ernst and Young LLP.
