Newswise — The University of Haifa will confer the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Honoris Causa) upon Mr. Steve Forbes, president and CEO of Forbes and editor-in-chief of Forbes magazine. He will receive the honor at the opening ceremony of the 35th Meeting of the Board of Governors of the University of Haifa on June 5, 2007. The degree will be conferred by the President of the University Prof. Aaron Ben-Ze'ev and Rector of the University Prof. Yossi Ben-Artzi.
Mr. Forbes is receiving an Honorary Doctorate degree in recognition of his long-standing support of the State of Israel and of the universal values of democracy and for his contribution to the fields of communications, business and economics.
