Colgate University will host its eighth annual Chenango Valley Writers' Conference from June 15 through June 21. The conference offers a range of consultations, workshops, panel discussions, readings and informal conversations to sustain the long-range efforts of the veteran writer and help the less experienced writer get started. Members of the publishing profession will also present marketplace tactics.

Every evening during the conference, workshop instructors and internationally recognized artists will provide readings of their fiction, poetry, or nonfiction. These readings are open to the public, free of charge. All evening readings are held at 7:30 p.m. in Persson Hall Auditorium on the Colgate University campus with the exception of Friday's reading which will be held at 8:00 p.m. on the third floor of the Colgate Bookstore in Hamilton.
