AHRQ Begins Listing Patient Safety Organizations

Newswise — The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) has begun listing Patient Safety Organizations (PSOs) in accordance with Interim Guidance and the Patient Safety and Quality Improvement Act of 2005 (Patient Safety Act).

The Interim Guidance, published on October 8, 2008, allows AHRQ to receive applications from qualified entities that wish to become PSOs for the purpose of voluntarily collecting, aggregating, and analyzing patient safety data to improve health care quality.
