announced today an agreement with SCIREX Corporation, a clinical
research company providing integrated drug development services in a
wide range of therapeutic areas with special focus on central nervous
system (CNS) studies.
SCIREX is the third contract research organization (CRO) to work
with AmericasDoctor.com, a health resource Internet site that
features the only free, around-the-clock chat service enabling
consumers to have live, online, one-on-one chats with doctors and
other healthcare professionals.
Under the terms of the agreement, AmericasDoctor.com will work
with SCIREX to conduct online patient recruitment for specific
studies in the areas of neurology, analgesia, psychiatry and
infectious diseases. SCIREX has conducted more than 1,000 clinical
trials with more than 75,000 patients. In addition to SCIREX,
AmericasDoctor.com has agreements with Covance Inc. and ClinTrials,
two other CROs for whom the Internet site offers online recruitment
of clinical trial participants.
AmericasDoctor.com also formed a partnership this year with
Massachusetts-based CenterWatch, a division of Thompson Publishing, a
leader in the field of clinical trials information, tracking and data
management.
