Newswise — The American Autoimmune Related Diseases Association (AARDA) announced today that it has achieved the coveted 4-star rating from Charity Navigator, the nation’s largest and most-utilized evaluators of charities.

Earning four out of four stars demonstrates to the charitable giving public that AARDA executes its mission in a fiscally responsible way, and outperforms most other charities in America. Charity Navigator is known for their unbiased, objective, numbers-based rating system which is used to determine the financial health of over 5,000 of America’s best-known charities.

According to AARDA, this rating signifies years of sound fiscally responsible behavior by AARDA’s Board of Directors and staff, as well as its time honored commitment to execute their mission to increase public awareness, patient education, and research for autoimmune diseases efficiently and successfully.

“The American Autoimmune Related Diseases Association looks on the achievement of a 4-star rating with great pride in that we have been proven to be good stewards of the public’s trust in our ability to represent autoimmune disease patients and fulfill our mission,” said Virginia T. Ladd, AARDA President and Executive Director.

Charity Navigator’s rating system examines two broad areas of a charity’s financial health—how responsibly it functions day to day as well as how well positioned it is to sustain its programs over time.
