WhatThe “Ride for the Cure NM” event will begin with a motorcycle ride from Tijeras and end in Edgewood.
WhyThe annual motorcycle ride will raise money for the University of New Mexico Comprehensive Cancer Center. The money helps New Mexicans fighting cancer and supports cancer research at the UNM Cancer Center. The ride was started ten years ago with just 12 riders and has grown to include more than 1,000.This year’s ride will run from Molly’s Bar in Tijeras to the Wildlife West Nature Park in Edgewood. The event in Edgewood will feature food, shopping and music. Entrance to the Nature Park will also be available for a $5 entry fee.
