Newswise — University of Utah historian Martha Sonntag Bradley is available to provide comment and analysis on the history of polygamy in Utah, the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' (FLDS) break from Mormonism and its continued practice of plural marriage and the complex legal and religious issues surrounding the practice of polygamy.

A specialist in the history of Utah, gender and community, Bradley directs the University's Honors Program and is a past president of the Mormon History Association. Among others, Bradley authored the 1993 book "Kidnapped from that Land: The Government Raids on the Polygamous Community of Short Creek." She is also the author of "The Four Zinas: Mothers and Daughters on the Mormon Frontier" for which she won the Best Book Award from the Utah Historical Society and the Best Biographical Book Award from the Mormon History Association.
