Newswise — Scores from the 2017 National Assessment of Educational Progress will be released April 10. Experts from the Indiana University School of Education are available to speak to news media about the assessment and its results.

Sarah Theule Lubienski is a professor of mathematics education in the School of Education and an expert on the national assessment, known as NAEP or the Nation's Report Card. She has chaired the NAEP studies research group at the American Educational Research Association. Her analyses of NAEP have been funded by the National Center for Education Statistics and the Institute of Education Sciences.

Peter Kloosterman is professor emeritus of mathematics education in the School of Education. His primary research interests focus on analysis of mathematics results from NAEP and various international assessments. He is co-editor of the forthcoming book "Thinking Mathematically: Adding Challenge to the Classroom with Activities Based on Items Used in the National Assessment."
